Data Centre

The Netherlands

View of Amsterdan

Amsterdam’s Westpoort area is set to host a major new data centre campus — a significant addition to one of Europe’s most constrained and strategically important digital infrastructure markets. The planned campus will occupy a 5.6-acre site and comprise three towers designed to deliver a total of 78 MW of data hall capacity, with a private substation already constructed and power secured to support future build-out. Development of the data halls is expected to begin in early 2026 as part of a more than €1 billion investment in the project.

Data centres of this scale place particular demands on mechanical systems for temperature control, airflow, plumbing, and support services. Creo Mechanical Services has experience with mechanical fit-outs on high-spec digital infrastructure projects and is familiar with the coordination, compliance, and detailed installation requirements such work entails.

Mechanical services in this context must be installed, tested, and commissioned as part of a wider construction team operating to tight technical and programme requirements. Projects such as the Westpoort data centre illustrate the increasing scale and complexity of digital infrastructure developments across Europe and the continued demand for reliable mechanical systems delivery.
